Initiative for more Solidarity with people affected by the burnout-syndrome.
I avow myself to the following statement:
“I am aware that the burnout-syndrome is a condition of immense emotional exhaustion including reduced and limited personal capacity. The burnout-syndrome is the last stadium of a development that starts with idealistic enthusiasm, leads through various stages of frustration and disillusionment, psychosomatic illness, depression or aggression and a higher danger of addiction. Any social group can be affected by burnout – students, scientists, manager as well as unemployed and retired individuals.”
“Based on above, I acknowledge that the burnout-syndrome is a serious illness of our time and I therefore declare my solidarity with people affected.”
